“Colorado Horsecare Foodbank has helped me keep my horse, Clyde. I lost my job, had to move, and losing Clyde was the one think I didn’t want to say goodbye to. We have a magical bond. He gives me peace, solace and comfort. Thank you for the hay, and Clyde wanted me to tell you that he's not fat, but thanks to you he has WINTER FLUFF.” ~ Cindy

"We have 3 wonderful horses 2 which have been in our family for 10 years, a pony named Red who is 32 years young, Midnight is my beloved companion who is spoiled rotten and Lucy is my daughter’s 4H horse who was a godsend after my daughter lost her beloved pony to colic a few years ago. Our family has been fortunate in the past to have our horses at home and own our own horse property but tough times fell on us and we found we could no longer keep up, we were faced with foreclosure recently and I found myself struggling trying to find a place for our family and our beloved horses. We were fortunate enough to find a rental horse property, but with that decision came moving costs, deposits and Christmas for 3 children. Our hay was dwindling and the money was not there to buy more. I was fortunate enough to know one of the amazing and talented people involved with the Colorado Horsecare Foodbank. I put pride aside and called for assistance. You are angels and I know this is one person who will be giving back. My barn has hay and my horses are happy and that stress is off of me right now. Thank you a million times over. " ~Pat

“In May 2009 I was starting a new job, and I was worried that I didn't have the income that is required to keep my two horses. My hay supply was dwindling, and I didn't have enough to pay the soaring hay prices. Colorado Horsecare Foodbank provided me with three months of hay, and I can't thank this group enough. They know what is needed to help horses and their owners who are in distress. They have been a godsend to me." ~ Samantha
“Comanche is my horse who has a big heart. He knows how to make me feel better if I have a bad day at school. He’s my closest friend.” ~ Kayla
“Comanche is part of our family, and he’s a family member we can’t replace. When my wife lost her job, it was very difficult to keep him, but he brings joy into the lives of my daughters. He makes them feel better, and he gives them goals. Thanks to the Foodbank, we were able to keep Comanche, and I would do anything to help my daughters.” ~Dan (Kayla’s Dad)
